THE OWL

(Detail-oriented/Analytical/non-assertive/non-emotional)

“I have learned how to not insult people.  Every time I have to disagree with someone, I simply start it with, 'with all do respect', and then I talk.  It works every time.”
-Comedian: Chris Rock

The owl can be one of the toughest clients to sell if you do not pay attention to detail and approach with persistency, yet remain humble.  You must close this deal from the back end.  Do you know what the back end is?  Let me tell you.  You cannot be loud and obvious;.ie.:"Mr. Owl, I realize you want to think it over, but let me share with you one thing before you leave.  You know I have witnessed the interest rates rise over the the last couple of months and I am afraid that you may loose more money if you wait any longer to make a decition.  Sir, with all do respect, don’t you think it would be to your befit to make a decision on it today?"

If you don’t learn how to sell the owl you will miss 25% of the market.  The owl is a challenge and learning to deal with them will make you better at what you do and will make you more money.  You will learn to easily pick these people out.  Watch and listen.  Oh, most have good credit and money to spend.
