YOUR COMPETITION
I can’t even count how many deals I got as a result of my competition
talking discouragingly about my company or me. Never explicitly put
down your competition or you will end up like Bob Dole. I am sure
Bob Dole is a good man, but he constantly pointed fingers as Clinton calmly
brushed it off and didn’t point fingers back. Keep telling the customer
that you are sure (the competition) is a good company, but let me show
show you what I can offer you. Know your competition and know it
well, but do not point fingers. The customer wants to do business
with a person of high integrity and confidence.
