THE NON-WORKS
of
SAMUEL TYLDSLEY
CHAPTER 6
In 1966, the American Bible Society published
The
New Testament, Today's English Version. This inspired Samuel
Tyldsley to compose the following fragment in a letter to his brother,
a catholic priest residing in Detroit.14
"I thought I should get a professional opinion before I submit the Old
Testament to the society. Enclosed is the customary two-dollar fee."
The letter is dated August 20, 1966, just
six months before Samuel Tyldsley's mysterious disappearance.
Big Daddy made the scene doing heaven and earth.
And the earth was doing free-form, like nowhere, man. And the
big black blanket hung on the well (like total nightsville in lakeland,
babe). And Big Daddy cruised the surf.
And The Man says, Bring on the rays; and there
was rays.
And Big Daddy dug the rays, they were cool.
Then He said do five in ten and there was A and P of M.
