THE NON-WORKS
of
SAMUEL TYLDSLEY
Conclusion
And so Sam Tyldsley wandered from our sight
to find his way alone. We know not where or why, nor even if the
choice was his, but he is gone and often too he is forgotten. This is well
for so was his desire. He often said, "My poems are but halfway written.
The other half lies within the reader."18
This latter half he held most dear. It surely survives his fame.
Perhaps the most common criticism of Tyldsley
is that he remained too anonymous, thus becoming too vague for readers
to grasp any meaning in his words. Perhaps, as some critics say,
he dwelt too long on thoughts he could not express. Perhaps he felt
that details would make his work exclusive. Maybe it was something
he ate...
Peanut butter
covered pizza
in spicy sour cream.
Tuna salad
sandwiches
with chocolate
covered grapes.
Wine cooler
made with
chocolate milk,
smeared salad with
ice cream.
Loads
of pickled
frog's leg pie
roasted chicken
feathers.
Eye of newt,
hair of toad,
and Uncle Jack's
pajamas freshly shredded
donkey's liver.-
indigestion.19

You made it
to the end! This song is "Strawberry Fields Forever" by Lennon/McCartney.
It was found at And
in the Dark.
